Adult Skills Fund
The funding stream for regulated learning aimed at adults aged 19 and over.

The Adult Skills Fund funds regulated learning for adults, covering legal entitlements, fully funded provision for certain groups and co-funded provision for others.
It is allocation-based and earned through the ILR, and it is reconciled: delivering less than the allocation can reduce the funding retained, and delivering more does not automatically bring more.
A substantial share of it is devolved, so the learner's home postcode decides whose rules apply.

For starts after 31 July 2024 and are Adult Skills Fund funded for learners aged 24 or over at the start of the learning aim, for aims that are level 3 and in the entitlement category, and where the Free Courses for Jobs Learning delivery monitoring code has not been returned, the aim cannot be Adult Skills Fund funded

For starts on or after 1 August 2024 and the learning aim is funded through the Adult Skills Fund funding model, and the learner's prior attainment is a full level 3 or above, and the learner is not earning below the earnings threshold, then the aim must not be a level 3 aim
