Student record system
The system in which a college records learners, enrolments and outcomes, and from which the ILR is generated.

The student record system is the operational source of truth for the college. Enrolments, aims, dates, withdrawals and outcomes are recorded there, and the ILR is generated from it.
Corrections belong here rather than in the generated file, otherwise the same error returns at the next generation.
The rules behind this
Corrections should be made in the source system that owns the data, then regenerated into the ILR. Editing an ILR file directly leaves the source system wrong and the error returns at the next generation.
The ILR is generated from the student record system. It is an output of the college's own data, which is why almost every ILR problem is really a problem in enrolment, curriculum or registry data.

An aim has ended but no outcome has been recorded
The aim has an actual end date, so the system knows it finished, but nothing records whether the learner achieved it. The achievement rate calculation treats an aim with no achievement recorded as a non-achievement.

Planned hours do not match the timetable that is actually delivered
The planned hours recorded for 16 to 19 students do not reconcile to the timetable being delivered, so students may be in the wrong funding band.

An aim has been recorded under a funding model that does not match the provision. Everything downstream is assessed against the wrong rulebook.

The learner has stopped attending, but the ILR still shows their aim as open with no actual end date, so the system believes they are still in learning and keeps generating funding for them.

The learner's recorded source of funding does not match what their home postcode implies, so the aim may be claimed from the wrong funder, under the wrong rules.
