MIS

Management information systems

The team and the systems responsible for the college's data, including generating and submitting the ILR.

In full

MIS holds the college's student record system, generates the ILR, runs validation, submits returns and produces the reports the rest of the college relies on.

MIS rarely creates the underlying data. It inherits it from admissions, curriculum and registry, which is why most ILR problems are solved upstream of MIS rather than inside it.

The rules behind this

FEFunding explanation

The ILR is generated from the student record system. It is an output of the college's own data, which is why almost every ILR problem is really a problem in enrolment, curriculum or registry data.
