Residency

The requirement that a learner has been resident in the relevant area for a qualifying period and has a status allowing them to be funded.

In full

Residency rules require a learner to have lived in the relevant area for a qualifying period before the start of their learning and to hold a status that permits public funding.

The detailed categories and evidence expectations are set out in the funding regulations for the year, and they change, so check the current document rather than relying on a remembered rule.
