Programme cost weighting

The element of the 16 to 19 formula that reflects the relative cost of delivering different subject areas.

In full

Programme cost weighting increases funding for subject areas that cost more to deliver, such as those requiring workshops or specialist equipment.

The weighting applied is derived from the aims a student is recorded as taking, so aim recording affects income here as well.
