Scenario
A learner's age puts them in the wrong stream
A learner's age at the start of their aim determines which stream can fund them. A date of birth error moves them.
The situation
- Learner
- Close to the age boundary between streams
- Recorded
- On adult provision
- Question
- Whether their age at the aim start date supports it
Constructed for teaching. No scenario in the Academy contains real learner data, and none ever will.
What decides it?
The rules behind this
Adult Skills Fund eligibility depends on the learner's age, residency and circumstances, and the provider must hold evidence of eligibility before funding is claimed.
The funding model recorded against a learning delivery determines which funding rules, which calculation and which reports apply to it.
