Study programme

The coherent programme of learning a 16 to 19 student follows, made up of qualifications and other planned activity.

In full

A study programme brings together a student's main qualification aim, any English and maths required, work experience and other planned activity into one coherent programme with a clear purpose.

Funding is for the programme rather than for each qualification separately, which is why planned hours and programme design drive the money.

The rules behind this

Official requirement

16 to 19 provision is funded through a national formula applied to a student's study programme, not through a price per qualification.
