Full-time equivalent
A measure that converts part-time study into an equivalent share of a full-time programme for funding purposes.
In full
Where a student's planned hours fall below the threshold for a flat-rate band, funding may be calculated per full-time equivalent: the student's planned hours as a proportion of the full-time hours figure, applied to the full-time rate.
The full-time hours figure and the applicable rate are set annually in the rates and formula document.
