Funding Information System
The desktop tool providers use to validate an ILR file and produce funding reports locally before submitting.

The Funding Information System runs the same validation rules locally that the submission service runs, and produces funding reports from the file without submitting it.
It is how an MIS team checks a file before it goes anywhere, and how funding can be checked mid-period without making a submission. Using it does not itself submit anything.
