Apprenticeship
A job with training, where the apprentice works for an employer and follows an approved standard leading to end-point assessment.

An apprenticeship is a genuine job combined with structured training. The apprentice is employed, follows an approved standard, spends a required amount of their working time on training away from their normal duties, and is assessed by an end-point assessment organisation (or by the provider, for an integrated standard).
Funding follows a price negotiated with the employer, capped at the funding band maximum for the standard, and is drawn from the employer's levy funds (including transfers), through co-investment, or fully funded by government where the rules for the start date waive the employer contribution.
