Scenario
The December count includes students who have left
Preparing for the December return, the in-learning list is larger than the curriculum areas recognise.
The situation
- Stream
- 16 to 19 study programmes
- Timing
- Ten days before the December return deadline
- Finding
- Curriculum areas do not recognise around three per cent of the in-learning list
Constructed for teaching. No scenario in the Academy contains real learner data, and none ever will.

FEFunding explanation
When a withdrawal is recorded changes both the funding earned and whether the aim counts in the achievement rate. Recording a withdrawal late is not a neutral administrative delay.
