Audio is a derived format, never the authoritative source. Each lesson is rendered from an approved script that comes from the written module, and the system records a hash of the content it was rendered from. When the module changes, the audio is automatically marked stale and is re-rendered rather than quietly contradicting the page above it.
A lesson is rendered once and stored, never synthesised on demand. That keeps the cost of a free service predictable, which is the only reason it can stay free.
