Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for adults aged 19 and over, developed with employers to fast-track in-demand skills. They offer a guaranteed job interview or career progression on completion and sit outside the Adult Skills Fund.

How they're funded

Skills Bootcamps are funded through procured contracts rather than the national funding formula, often via combined authorities in devolved areas. Payments are typically outcome-based, with employer co-investment for those recruiting or upskilling existing staff.

Eligibility

Open to adults who are employed, self-employed, unemployed or returning to work, subject to residency and the specific bootcamp's entry requirements.
