Programme structure
A T Level combines a technical qualification (core knowledge plus an occupational specialism), an industry placement, and the relevant maths, English and digital requirements. Planned hours are recorded across the full two-year programme, and its size sets the T Level band.
Industry placement funding
Additional funding supports the delivery of the mandatory industry placement, recognising the cost of employer engagement, placement brokerage and student support. The placement must last at least 315 hours, approximately 45 days.
