Return sign-off
The internal confirmation, before a return is submitted, that the data is correct and the funding it generates is expected.
In full
Sign-off is the point at which somebody accountable confirms the return is right. It should cover the validation position, the funding position against expectation, and any known issues.
A sign-off that is only a signature adds nothing. A useful one asks what changed since last month and whether anybody can explain it.
