The provider support manual explains what the ILR expects and how values should be recorded. It sits alongside the specification and the validation rules for each funding year.
DfE publishes it as a single manual that it updates over time, with a log of recent changes, rather than as a separate edition for each funding year. When a team disagrees about how something should be recorded, check the manual's current guidance and the specification for the year in question.
