Guided learning hours
The hours of teaching, supervision and assessment attributed to a qualification.
In full
Guided learning hours describe the taught and supervised time associated with a qualification. They are an attribute of the aim and are used in funding calculations for several streams.
They are not the same as a learner's planned hours, which cover the whole programme including activity beyond qualifications.
Not to be confused with
Guided learning hours belong to a qualification. Planned hours belong to a student's whole programme and include activity that is not qualification delivery.
