Free Courses for Jobs (Level 3 entitlement)

Free Courses for Jobs — the level 3 adult skills entitlement — fully funds a first full level 3 qualification from an approved list for eligible adults. It widens access to higher technical and professional skills regardless of prior attainment for adults who are unemployed or earning below a wage threshold.

Eligibility

Adults qualify if they do not already hold a full level 3 qualification, or if they earn below the national wage threshold or are unemployed (including in devolved areas that have adopted the entitlement). Residency rules still apply.

Qualifying courses

Only qualifications on the approved Free Courses for Jobs list are fully funded under the entitlement. Other level 3 courses may still be funded through the Adult Skills Fund or an Advanced Learner Loan.
