Multiply (adult numeracy, ended March 2025)

Multiply was a programme to improve adult numeracy. It funded flexible maths courses and support for adults aged 19 and over who did not have a GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in maths, delivered locally, often through combined authorities. The programme ended in March 2025 and no longer funds new provision.

How it works

Multiply funded short, flexible numeracy provision outside the usual qualification framework, designed to reach adults who would not otherwise enrol on a GCSE or Functional Skills course. It ended in March 2025.
